2024 Kia Sonet Facelift: Kia India has revealed the new 2024 Sonet facelift for all global markets on Thursday and Jagran English was there to witness the unveiling of the popular compact SUV. Kia has completely revamped the exterior of the Sonet compact SUV. The South Korean brand has also included a host of new features that make the Kia Sonet stand apart from its competitors in the compact SUV segment. We have already reported in detail about the new features included within the compact SUV. Now let's give you an overview of how the 2024 Kia Sonet facelift looked at the first glance.
2024 Kia Sonet Facelift - Appearance
The 2024 Kia Sonet facelift looks more muscular and aggressive than before and features an enhanced sporty stance. It gets contemporary design elements like LED headlamps, LED DRLs, LED fog lamps, C-shaped LED tail lamps that are connected via a LED light bar, sporty aerodynamic skid plates, crystal cut alloy wheels, rear spoiler and a redesigned bumper.

The 2024 Kia Sonet facelift showcased at the event was in a bright red single-tone colour, gloss black single-tone colour and one matte finish single-tone colour. However, the Sonet facelift will be available in eight single-tone, two dual-tone and one matte finish colour. Kia has also introduced a new Pewter Olive colour for the 2024 Sonet. Additionally, Kia has aligned the exterior design of the Sonet facelift with all its other models available in India that include the Seltos, Sonet, Carens and EV6.
2024 Kia Sonet Facelift - Interior
The interior of the 2024 Kia Sonet facelift looks quite similar to its predecessor, however, some distinctive differences visible within the cabin is the new 10.25 inch digital instrument cluster that has been borrowed from the Seltos SUV. Moreover, it gets a new display below the infotainment screen for showing climate control related information. New physical controls for HVAC, traction and drive modes are also present. The compact SUV facelift will also be available with five new upholstery themes and will be incorporated with a new BOSE premium 7 speaker system.
Additionally, Kia has retained the previous touchscreen infotainment system that is present as a dual-screen setup, including the digital instrument cluster. Moreover, it also gets a 360-degree camera with blind-view monitor, four-way power driver’s seat, ventilated front seats, LED ambient lighting, single pane sunroof, rear door sunshade curtain, all door power window and Smartpure air purifier.
2024 Kia Sonet Facelift - Safety Features
A significant highlight of the 2024 Kia Sonet facelift is the inclusion of Level 1 ADAS features that were only available on the Hyundai Venue till now in the compact SUV segment. Level 1 ADAS features include forward collision warning, lane vehicle departure alert, lane departure warning, forward collision avoidance assistance - pedestrian, cyclist and car, high beam assist, lane keeping assist, lane departure assist and driver attention warning. It also includes other standard safety features like six airbags as standard, ESC, VSM, hill-start assist control, ABS, BAS, tyre pressure monitor and many more.
The 2024 Kia Sonet facelift will be available in three broad trims - X Line, GT Line and Tech Line. Kia India has not revealed the prices of the Sonet facelift but it is expected that it will be priced reasonably higher than the outgoing model. The current-gen Kia Sonet is priced between Rs 7.79 lakh and Rs 14.89 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings for the new Kia Sonet will commence from December 20 onwards and the compact SUV is expected to be officially launched in January 2024.
