Ather Community Day 2025: Ather Energy has updated its 450 Apex electric scooter with a cruise control system. Marketed as 'Infinite Cruise', the cruise control system – unveiled at the ongoing event celebrating Ather Community Day – comes with three ride modes. These are City Cruise, Hill Cruise, and Crawl Control, each tailored to optimise riding experiences in different road conditions.
According to Ather, the recently unveiled feature will now be available on all new Apex scooters. However, for existing users who bought the 450 Apex in 2025, Infinite Cruise will be rolled out through an over-the-air (OTA) update.
Ather Infinite Cruise: How Does It Work?
Ather's Infinite Cruise feature, conveniently located on the right-side switchbar, can be activated with a single button tap. This feature works when your speed exceeds 10km/h, and does not require manual toggling back and forth, unlike conventional cruise control systems.
The cruise control feature operates across all speeds (save for a lower speed limit of 10km/h). It enables riders to set a desired speed, and when your scooter comes to a halt, the system automatically pauses, resuming only when the scooter reaches the set speed again. Interestingly, cruise control remains on even with throttle inputs.

Ather Infinite Cruise: Bundled With 3 Ride Modes
With Ather's Infinite Cruise, Ather offers 3 ride modes: City Cruise, Hill Cruise, and Crawl Control. City Cruise is for steady speeds on flat surfaces, Hill Cruise is for maintaining momentum on slopes and inclines, and Crawl Control (exclusive to Apex) is for navigating low-speed situations such as heavy traffic.
Ather 450 Apex: Battery, Features
Other than that, the Ather 450 Apex remains the same. It continues with its familiar bold design, 7-inch TFT dash, traction control, and 3.7kWh battery pack. The battery is claimed to deliver a range of 157km, while the power output is capped at 9.3bhp. 0-40km/h takes 2.9 seconds (claimed).
