Ather Rizta Electric Scooter: Ather Energy has expanded its electric two-wheeler portfolio in Sri Lanka with the launch of the family-focused Rizta scooter at the ongoing Colombo Motor Show. The Ather Rizta, which follows the introduction of the 450X (2.9kWh and 3.7kWh) in December 2024, is offered in two variants (S and Z) and starts at LKR 6,99,999 (roughly Rs 2.04 lakh). The family-focused electric scooter is available through Sri Lanka's premier distributor of premium electric vehicles, Evolution Auto Pvt. Ltd.
Since beginning market operations in 2024, Ather has set up 40 experience centres across Sri Lanka and installed Ather Grid fast chargers to strengthen the EV infrastructure. The company also operates 9 experience centres and 7 service centres in Nepal, in addition to 524 experience centres and 3,643 fast-charging stations in India. Bengaluru-based Ather Energy officially entered international markets with the export of its flagship 450X to Nepal in 2023. Through its partnership with Vaidya Energy, Ather redefined Nepal's electric two‑wheeler market, offering customers greater access to high‑performance EV scooters.

Ather Rizta: Specs
According to Ather, the Sri Lanka-spec Rizta is designed with a focus on both safety and connectivity features. The Rizta features a spacious floorboard, a wide pillion backrest, and 34-litre underseat storage space. Safety features include SkidControl, FallSafe, theft alerts, and an emergency stop signal. The scooter also gets a 7-inch TFT console with Google Maps navigation and music/call controls, albeit with the top-end Z.
Whereas the Rizta ranges from LKR 6,99,999 in Sri Lanka, the Ather Rizta starts at Rs 1.05 lakh and goes up to Rs 1.30 lakh in India. Both prices are ex-showroom.
