Bajaj CNG-Powered Motorcycle Spotted: Bajaj Auto, a renowned two-wheeler manufacturer is working on the world's first CNG powered bike. Recently, Bajaj’s CNG powered motorcycle has been in the news as the manufacturer recently confirmed that this upcoming model is set to be launched in the market by the second quarter of 2024. Ahead of its official launch, the upcoming Bajaj CNG powered motorcycle has been spotted testing, revealing significant details about the upcoming model.
As it can be seen in the spy shots, the upcoming Bajaj bike looks like a regular commuter model with a long, flat seat and basic features. It also appears to have an enclosed chain drive. The fuel tank area seems small, so it's unclear how Bajaj will fit the CNG tank into the bike's design. The engine capacity and displacement of the upcoming CNG powered bike is not known yet, however it's likely to be around 110cc or 125cc. Bajaj is aiming that this CNG powered motorcycle will cater to the people in rural and semi-urban areas.
We're not sure if the engine will only use CNG or if it will also have the option to run on petrol. Engines running on CNG usually produce less power than petrol engines. We've seen this in cars from companies like Tata and Maruti Suzuki. The upcoming Bajaj CNG motorcycle is expected to offer huge savings on running and fuel costs, with potential savings ranging from 55 per cent to 65 per cent. Additionally, CNG is a cost-effective fuel option and provides significantly improved mileage compared to traditional fossil fuels.

Additionally, Bajaj has recently trademarked four new names, indicating that it is working on multiple new products. The four names trademarked by Bajaj are Glider, Marathon, Trekker, and Freedom. The name of the upcoming CNG powered motorcycle is not yet known, but it is likely that these patented names could be used for this model. It's uncertain which of these names will be chosen for the CNG-powered motorcycle, as the trademark filings were made shortly after Bajaj announced the development of the upcoming offering.
