Citroen eC3 Spy Shots: The eC3 is currently Citroen's only electric hatchback in the Indian market, priced from Rs 12.90 lakh (ex-showroom). It looks very similar to its ICE counterpart and even shares the same underpinnings. It features low-set LED headlamps, eyebrow-shaped DRLs, and a double-barrel Citroen logo at the front, and wraparound LED taillamps and eC3 branding at the rear. However, the test model spotted recently in Bengaluru has a contemporary design language similar to the model introduced in Europe in 2023.

Euro-Spec Citroen eC3: Spy Shot Exterior Details

Compared to the existing India-spec model, the Euro-spec Citroen eC3 spied almost undisguised is finished in a dual-tone red-and-black shade.  The front fascia gets C-shaped LED headlamps, a closed-off grille, and a reworked bumper. The lighting elements also seem to have been revised at the rear, while the alloy wheels are larger 17-inch units compared to the India-spec model's 15-inch units. The test vehicle also wears a temporary red registration plate.

Euro-Spec Citroen eC3: Interior

There is a dual-tone treatment on the inside as well. The dual-tone dashboard accommodates a central 10.25-inch touchscreen (with wireless connectivity), a digital instrument cluster, and a flat-bottom multi-function steering wheel. The car sold in Europe is also offered with wireless charging, foldable ORVMs, and ADAS features.

Euro-Spec Citroen eC3: Powertrain

The test mule is built on an advanced version of the platform and boasts a 44kWh battery with a WLTP-certified range of 320km. With 100kW fast charging, the eC3 can be charged from 20 to 80 per cent in 26 minutes, whereas the India-spec model can do the same in 57 minutes.

Euro-Spec Citroen eC3: Will it Come to India?

The plans for the arrival of the global-spec eC3 in India remain vague, with Citroen yet to confirm whether it will be launched here. The test vehicle's lack of camouflage has led to speculation that it may be used for internal evaluation purposes, rather than being a preview of an impending market launch. Further details are awaited, as the brand maintains a cautious stance on the model's India-bound prospects.
