Delhi No PUC No Fuel Rule:  Manjinder Singh Sirsa, the Environment Minister in the Delhi Government, announced that the ‘No PUC No Fuel’ rule will stay in force even after the GRAP-4 is lifted in the national capital. The Delhi government recently took stringent measures to curb pollution in the region, and the ‘No PUC No Fuel’ rule was also part of these measures. However, the Environment Minister has now confirmed that the rules will remain in force permanently.

12 Centres Blacklisted

Manjinder Singh Sirsa, the Environment Minister of Delhi, shared the information about the rule being made permanent on the social media platform X (previously Twitter). The government received several complaints about some pollution checking centres not working as per the required guidelines. The minister also shared in his X post that after conducting an enquiry, 12 such centres have been suspended and blacklisted.

Non-Adherence Will Be Considered A Crime

The minister also shared that other pollution checking centres will also be checked, if they are working as per the stated guidelines. The environment minister of Delhi also said that anyone not adhering to the rules will not be spared, and strict action will be taken against them. The minister also mentioned that Non-adherence to the rules will be considered a crime.

Delhi Government On Pollution

The air quality in Delhi has fallen to the severe category, and the government recently took stringent measures to curb pollution in the national capital. While the government has implemented the No PUC No Fuel rule in the Delhi-NCR region, the entry of non-BS-VI vehicles has also been banned in the area. The GRAP-4 has also been implemented in the national capital to restrain pollution.
