Tesla Showroom In India:  Elon Musk’s Tesla is one of the world’s largest electric car manufacturers, and its entry in India is awaited by many. Pics of the electric car manufacturer's showroom under construction were shared recently on the social media platform X. Tesla is expected to debut soon in India with its Model Y compact SUV.

Pics of the Tesla showroom under construction were shared by a user named Manish R Jain on the social media platform X. The user shared images with the caption ‘Confirmed with the pics, the first Tesla showroom in India is in BKC on the ground floor’. Many media reports earlier suggested that the electric carmaker is planning to open two showrooms in the country, with the first one opening in Mumbai and the second one in the national capital, New Delhi.

Model Y: First Tesla In India

The Model Y is a compact SUV manufactured by Tesla, and it is expected to be the first Tesla car in India. The brand had initiated the homologation process for its Model Y and Model 3 cars back in March 2025. It is expected that Tesla will launch Model Y in the coming months, with bookings beginning in July 2025.

Model Y: Features And Range

The Model Y by Tesla is available in two variants globally, the Long Range AWD model and the Performance model. The performance variant of the Model Y can sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds, whereas the long-range trim takes 6 seconds. The Tesla Model Y comes equipped with features such as ADAS, a 15-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system, rear passenger screens, and different cabin modes.
