Ford Mustang Mach-E: American automobile giant, Ford Motors exited the Indian automobile market in 2021 due to low sales in the country. However, it is being speculated that Ford Motors is planning a possible re-entry in India as the manufacturer recently applied for a design patent for the next-generation Endeavour. Now, Ford has trademarked the Mustang Mach-E nameplate in India, indicating a possible re-entry.
Moreover, Ford has reconsidered the sale of its Chennai plant, despite receiving offers from carmakers like Vinfast, MG, and Tata Motors. The company has even listed new job openings that further fuel the speculation about its re-entry into the market. However, Ford has not made any official announcements in regards to this matter.

Ford Mustang Mach-E - Battery, Range & Performance
Ford Mustang Mach-E is expected to brough to India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) under an import rule allowing up to 2,500 units without homologation. It is expected that if the Mustang Mach-E is launched in India, it will be priced around Rs 1 crore (ex-showroom).
Internationally, the Mach-E is available in RWD or AWD configurations, with standard and long range options. The base RWD model is equipped with a 72kWh battery pack that offers a range of 470 km. The motor equipped in this standard range variant produces a power output of 269 bhp and 430 Nm of torque. The RWD long range variant of the Mustang Mach-E uses a 91kWh battery pack that delivers a claimed range of 600 km. The motor equipped in the RWD long range variant produces a power output of 294 bhp and 430 Nm of torque. The AWD variant with a 91kWh battery pack offers a driving range of 548 km and produces a power output of 351 bhp and 580 Nm of torque. The top-spec GT AWD variant produces a power output of 487 bhp and 850 Nm of torque, whereas the 91kWh battery pack in this variant delivers a driving range of 489 km. Though, there is no confirmation that which variant will be offered in India, if launched.
Ford Mustang Mach-E - Rivals
If Ford Mustang Mach-E is launched in India, it will join the ranks of luxury EVs like the Mercedes-Benz EQE, BMW iX, and Audi Q8 e-tron.
