Helmet For Bikes: For all motorcycle enthusiasts, wearing a helmet is as essential as any other motorcycle accessory. Driving without a helmet compromises on safety and can also result in you paying hefty fines, if caught by the police. Wearing a helmet can protect you in unforeseeable circumstances. However, picking the right helmet is also necessary because the wrong helmet choice can make even a short 10-minute ride uncomfortable. It's crucial to purchase a helmet carefully, considering important factors. Here are some key factors to help you choose the right helmet.

Size and Shape

Knowing your own personality and body structure is the first step to choosing the right helmet. There are three main head shape categories: round oval, intermediate oval and long oval.A properly sized helmet should fit snugly, like a crown, preventing excessive movements and gently pulling the skin of your face and scalp when removed. Pay attention to where the helmet touches your head to ensure a proper fit.

Visor

When choosing a helmet, the visor is an important factor to consider. It should be clear to provide you with a clear vision while riding. Avoid smoked or mercury-tinted visors, as they can hinder your vision. Buying an additional anti-fog and anti-scratch visor is a wise decision for added safety and clarity.

Proper Cushioning

Helmets are designed to protect your skull in the event of a crash or other serious accidents, and the inner cushioning of the helmet is crucial for this purpose. It's important to ensure that the helmet has adequate cushioning to absorb impact forces effectively. The inner surface should not be flat, as this can compromise the helmet's ability to provide protection.

ISI Mark

While most helmet manufacturers claim their products offer optimal protection, an ISI (Indian Standards Institute) mark ensures the helmet meets specific quality standards. The ISI logo signifies that the helmet complies with these standards. Although ISI-marked helmets may be slightly more expensive, it is recommended to choose them for proper protection while riding.
