Additionally, it's important to note that securing a design patent does not guarantee the scooter's launch. Speculation suggests that this new model might serve as a replacement for the discontinued Maestro scooter. There's also speculation about the possibility of the scooter being electric-powered, potentially falling under Hero's Vida sub-brand. If this is the case, it could share components like the electric motor and battery pack with Ather Energy, in which Hero MotoCorp holds a stake. Meanwhile, Ather Energy is preparing to unveil its own family-oriented electric scooter called the Rizta. This indicates a growing focus on practical electric mobility solutions in the market.
New Hero Scooter - Design
The design cues of Hero's new scooter seem to draw inspiration from the Xtreme 160R, featuring sharp lines and modern styling. Notable design elements include a handlebar-mounted turn indicators, spacious single-piece seat and robust grab rail for the pillion rider. Additionally, the scooter appears to include practical features like a hook and a pillion side step.
New Hero Scooter - Hardware
In terms of hardware, the scooter is expected to feature a conventional suspension setup and drum brakes both at the front and rear.
