Honda NX500 Launched In India: Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India has launched the anticipated NX500 adventure tourer in the country. The Honda NX500 has been launched in India at an introductory price of Rs 5.90 lakh (ex-showroom). We reported yesterday that Honda dealerships have started accepting unofficial pre-bookings of the NX500. The Honda NX500 can be booked by paying a token amount of Rs 10,000. Deliveries of the Honda NX500 are anticipated to commence from February. 

The Honda NX500 will be brought to India via the CBU route. The Honda NX500 will replace the discontinued CB500X from Honda’s lineup in the country. It will be offered in the distinct colour schemes Grand Prix Red, Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic and Pearl Horizon White. It will be sold in India exclusively through Honda's BigWing dealerships. 

Honda NX500 - Engine Specs 

The Honda NX500 is powered by the same 471 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that was fitted in the CB500X. This engine produces a power output of 46.5 bhp and 43 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox and a slip-and-assist clutch.

Honda NX500 - Features 

Talking about the features, it gets a slew of advanced features such as a 5-inch TFT screen with a customizable layout. It also gets Honda RoadSync functionality which is available on both iOS and Android. Additionally, it features music/voice control, turn-by-turn navigation and a traction control system called Honda Selectable Torque Control. 

Honda NX500 - Hardware 

The Honda NX500 has been built on a steel diamond-tube frame and uses Showa 41mm SFF-BP upside-down forks in the front and a pro-link monoshock at the rear equipped with a 5-stage preload adjuster. Braking responsibilities are handled by dual 296 mm front discs with two-piston calipers at the front and a 240 mm disc with a 1-piston caliper at the rear, complemented by dual-channel ABS as standard. The front wheel is sized at 19 inches, while the rear wheel is a 17-inch unit. It also gets a fuel tank with a capacity of 17.5 litres and the seat height is set at 830 mm.
