Hyundai Creta EV Launch: Hyundai Motor India is intensifying its electric vehicle (EV) strategy, with plans to launch four new models, including the Creta EV. Hyundai India is anticipated to launch the Creta EV in the country by the end of FY 2024-25. This move supports Hyundai’s commitment to introducing five locally-produced EVs in India by 2030. Hyundai intends to meet the evolving market demands by offering EVs across different price segments, aiming to attract a broader audience.

The Creta EV is set to be a key addition to Hyundai’s EV lineup. The electric version of the popular Creta SUV will feature a distinct design, differentiating it from its internal combustion engine (ICE) counterpart. While exact specifications are still under wraps, it is expected to offer a driving range of approximately 400-500 km. The Creta EV will likely retain most features of the ICE variant, along with some EV-specific enhancements.

Hyundai Creta EV - Design 

Recent spy shots have provided a sneak peek into the Creta EV’s design. The front will showcase new signature LED daytime running lights (DRLs), similar to those on the new 2024 Creta facelift. The taillights, however, will remain the same. Unique windmill-inspired alloy wheels will give the Creta EV a distinctive look.

Hyundai Creta EV - Interior & Features 

Inside, the Creta EV will feature a revamped interior. The steering wheel will be similar to the one in the global Kona facelift EV, featuring a three-spoke design with integrated controls. A new digital instrument cluster will be present, along with a redesigned dashboard that includes touch-based climate controls and a reworked centre console. The car might also feature a dual-screen setup, similar to the Kona or Ioniq 5. In terms of features, T\the Creta EV is expected to be loaded with features such as a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree surround-view camera, and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

Hyundai Creta EV - Expected Price 

The Hyundai Creta EV is expected to be priced between Rs 20 to Rs 30 lakh and will enter a competitive electric SUV market. Post its launch, it will compete against models like the Mahindra XUV400, MG ZS EV, Tata Curvv EV and BYD Atto 3.
