KTM 390 Enduro R Recall: KTM recently announced a global recall for its 390 Adventure X and 390 Enduro R models. The recall will only affect models sold in the USA, Canada, and a few other countries, and the Indian models will remain unaffected. Let’s take a look at why the brand has issued a recall.
KTM Global Recall: The Reason
The brand has stated that during the quality inspections, it has been determined that the engine vibration might cause the spring on the side stand of the KTM 390 Adventure X, 390 Adventure R, 390 Enduro R, and 390 SMC-R to break. This issue might lead to the motorcycle stalling or not starting. This issue only pertains to the models sold in the International markets and not to the Indian models.

KTM Global Recall: Why Indian Models Are Not Affected?
As per the information provided by the brand, the issue pertains only to the motorcycle models that come equipped with a forged-side stand. It is worth mentioning that the Indian models come equipped with fabricated-side stand, and thus, the issue doesn’t affect the motorcycle models made in India. For the affected models, the brand has instructed the consumers to reach out to their nearest service station and get their side stand replaced. The brand has also said that a rubber protection will be fitted on the affected models.
