Mahindra Thar 5-Door Launch In India: Mahindra, a leading automotive manufacturer in India is known to be working on the highly-anticipated Thar 5-door since quite some time. As we have previously reported, the upcoming Mahindra Thar 5-door is likely to be launched in the Indian market on August 15. Ahead of its launch, the Thar 5-door has been spotted testing several times, revealing key details about its design, features and more. Let’s take a look at the upcoming Mahindra Thar 5-door and key expectations from this upcoming off-road SUV model.

Mahindra Thar 5 Door - Expected Price 

Following the official launch of the Mahindra Thar 5-door SUV, it is anticipated that its price will range between Rs 15 lakh and Rs 22 lakh (ex-showroom). In Mahindra's lineup, the new Thar 5-door is expected to sit between the current Thar and the XUV700.

Mahindra Thar 5 Door - Design 

The Thar 5-door will likely showcase several new design elements, including a revamped front grille, LED fog lamps, LED headlights, DRLs, updated alloy wheels, redesigned tail lights, and more colour options. It is also expected that this variant will be available exclusively with a hardtop.

Mahindra Thar 5 Door - Interior 

Moving inside, the Thar 5-door's cabin will undergo a complete overhaul. It is expected to feature a dual-tone interior theme, a larger touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, front-row armrests, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with mounted controls and circular AC vents.

Mahindra Thar 5 Door - Powertrain 

Talking about its powertrain, the Thar 5-door is expected to continue using the same engines as the current 3-door model. This includes a 2.2-litre diesel engine producing a power output of 130 bhp and 300 Nm of torque. It also gets a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine delivering a power output of 152 bhp and 320 Nm of torque.
