Mahindra Thar Roxx To Be Used By Nagaland Police; Check Features, Engine And Mileage

Mahindra Thar Roxx Police Vehicle:  Mahindra Thar Roxx was launched in India last year, and it has registered a surge in demand ever since. The Thar Roxx offers a blend of a premium and practical cabin with decent off-road capabilities. This packaging makes it one of the most desired SUVs in India currently.

Recently, the state police of Nagaland added Thar Roxx to its convoy, and now its photos and videos are going viral. One such post on Instagram, shared by a page named Thar_lover, shows the Mahindra Thar Roxx in white colour with Police written on the side in Blue. The emergency vehicle lights are also visible on the roof of the Thar Roxx. The post has accumulated more than 70 thousand views so far.

Mahindra Thar Roxx: Key Features

The Mahindra Thar Roxx is one of the most loaded off-roaders in India currently, and it comes equipped with some of the most advanced features on offer. It has a 10.25-inch touchscreen display for the infotainment system, ADAS Level 2, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a panoramic sunroof, and a 360-degree camera. The top-spec trim of the Thar Roxx was recently updated with a 4-channel Dolby Atmos Surround Sound System, a first for any SUV in the world.

Mahindra Thar Roxx: Engine And Mileage

The Mahindra Thar Roxx is available with two powertrain options, and it is available in a 4WD (4x4) configuration, along with a rear-wheel drive. It is worth noting that the Thar Roxx is available with the 4WD configuration with only the diesel powertrain. While it uses a 2.2-liter diesel engine with 172 bhp and 370 Nm of torque, the 2.0-liter petrol mill on the Thar Roxx can generate 175 bhp and 380 Nm of torque. The Thar Roxx has an ARAI claimed mileage of 12.4 km/l for the petrol models, whereas the diesel models have a mileage of up to 15.2 km/l.
