Mahindra XEV 9S 7-Seater Teased Again, Reveals New Design Details

Mahindra XEV 9S: Within two weeks after offering a sneak peek into its first 7-seater electric SUV, the XEV 9S, which is slated to make its global debut on November 27, Mahindra has shared a teaser video revealing fresh design details of the EV. According to the teaser, the production-spec XEV 9S features vertically stacked split headlamps, which appear quite similar to those of the XUV.e8 concept (2022). We can also spot a shark-fin antenna, rear wiper blades, and connected taillamps (likely to be smoked ones). 

The previous teaser has confirmed body-coloured ORVMs, sleek LED DRLs, flush door handles, aero alloys wheels, black roof rails, and fog lamps. The 7-seater will be slapped with an Infinity logo, like the born-electric XEV 9e.

Mahindra XEV 9S: Interior

On the inside, the XEV 9S will feature a triple-screen setup, a two-spoke steering wheel with a backlit logo, a powered driver's seat (with a memory function), a sliding second row, plush materials, a panoramic sunroof, an electronic parking brake, and a premium Harman Kardon sound system, as confirmed by the teasers so far. The third-row has yet to be revealed.

Expected features include dual-zone climate control, powered and ventilated front seats, Dolby Atmos, ambient lighting, wireless charging, a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, and a Level 2 ADAS suite.  

Mahindra XEV 9S: Battery

The INGLO platform-based XEV 9S is expected to pack the same battery options as the other two electric SUVs: 59kWh and 79kWh, rated at 656km and 542km, respectively. Both are MIDC figures. An all-wheel-drive powertrain setup is likely to be added at a later stage. Mahindra could target a price range of Rs 20 lakh-Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom).
