Maruti Suzuki Fronx Safety Rating: The Suzuki Fronx, a 5-seater subcompact crossover SUV, has secured 4 stars in safety ratings in a crash test performed by JNCAP (Japan New Car Assessment Program). The subcompact crossover SUV is also sold in the Indian market by Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL), the largest car manufacturer in the country. The unit tested by JNCAP is manufactured in India, however, it features some additional safety features when compared to the model on sale in the Indian market.

Suzuki Fronx Safety Ratings: Detailed Overview

The Suzuki Fronx has an 84% score in the crash test conducted by JNCAP. The SUV received 163.75 points out of a total of 193.8 points. The Fronx scored 79.42 out of a total of 85.8 during the preventive safety performance test, while it received a score of 76.33 out of 100 during the collision safety performance test. The subcompact crossover SUV by Suzuki also received 21.08 points out of 24 for the offset frontal collision test, while it was granted a 5 out of 5 score for the full wrap frontal collision test.

Difference Between Indian And Japanese Models

The Fronx sold in Japan is manufactured in India and then exported there, but it gets some additional safety features, including lane departure warning, autonomous emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control, offered with the level-2 ADAS. The Indian iteration of the Fronx currently misses out on level-2 ADAS, and it is priced between Rs 7.54 Lakhs (Ex-showroom) and Rs 12.90 Lakhs (Ex-showroom).
