Maruti Suzuki India is one of the largest automobile manufacturers in India, has announced the first three vehicles from its lineup that will undergo Bharat NCAP crash tests. These three models are the Maruti Suzuki Baleno hatchback, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Maruti Suzuki Brezza SUV. There is no confirmation on when the results from Bharat NCAP will be out for these three models. Notably, both the Baleno and Brezza have previously undergone Global NCAP crash tests.

Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Bharat NCAP
Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara was launched in India in 2022 to compete in the compact SUV segment with models like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun. The Grand Vitara SUV has been developed in collaboration with Toyota Motor's Urban Cruiser HyRyder. In terms of safety, it gets features such as six airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system, three-point seat belts for passengers, a 360-degree camera, traction control system, hill hold control, electronic stability program, ISOFIX child seat anchors and ABS with EBD.
Maruti Suzuki Baleno Bharat NCAP
Maruti Suzuki Baleno was launched in India for the first time in 2015. However, it went through the Latin NCAP crash tests in 2021 and faced a challenging assessment as it received a zero-star safety rating. The model that went for the Latin NCAP crash tests was the previous-generation model of 2021, therefore, Maruti Suzuki launched the Baleno facelift in 2022 with a slew of safety features. It now gets safety features such as six airbags, electronic stability program, hill hold assist, ISOFIX mounts, speed alert system, seat belt reminders for all seats and rear parking assist sensors.
Maruti Suzuki Brezza Bharat NCAP
Maruti Suzuki Brezza was launched in India for the first time in 2016 and was then sent for the Global NCAP crash tests in 2018. After that, Maruti Suzuki India launched the facelift of the Brezza SUV in 2022. The current-gen Maruti Suzuki Brezza is equipped with safety features such as six airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), electronic stability program (ESP), hill assist, ISOFIX, reverse camera, central locking, hill assist and standard airbags.
