German luxury car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz have confirmed that they will be launching the GLS facelift for the Indian market on January 8. The Mercedes-Benz GLS is the brand’s flagship offering in the country. The GLS facelift was unveiled for all global markets earlier this year with new design modifications and interiors. 

Mercedes-Benz GLS Facelift - Design 

Talking about the exterior design, the SUV boasts a larger front grille with four horizontal louvres, new headlight cluster with new LEDs and DRLs, redesigned front bumper, new air vents with gloss black surrounds and new 20-inch alloy wheels.

Mercedes-Benz GLS Facelift - Interior 

Moving inside, the Mercedes-Benz GLS facelift features interior upgrades such as the new Catalana Brown and Bahia Brown themes.  The dashboard gets a dual-screen setup for the instrument cluster and infotainment system, now equipped with the latest MBUX user interface offering three display options: Classic, Sporty, and Discreet. Additionally, a new off-road mode along with a 360-degree camera offers enhanced visibility of the surroundings, including the "transparent bonnet" display.

Mercedes-Benz GLS Facelift - Powertrain 

In terms of powertrain, the GLS facelift will continue to be equipped with the same 3.0-litre six-cylinder diesel engine that offers a power output of 326 bhp and 700 Nm of peak torque. It is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission paired with a 4MATIC all-wheel drive system. While the current GLS in India is exclusively available with a diesel engine, the facelifted model is anticipated to introduce a 3.0-litre petrol engine this time.

Mercedes-Benz GLS Facelift - Price 

The current-gen Mercedes-Benz GLS is available with prices ranging from Rs 1.31 crore to Rs 2.96 crore (ex-showroom). Therefore, it is fair to anticipate that the new GLS facelift will be priced slightly higher than the outgoing model.
