India’s Bestselling Electric Car:  The MG Windsor EV has zoomed past the popular electric cars, such as the Tata Nexon and Mahindra XEV 9E, to become India’s bestselling electric car in 2025. A total of 19,394 units of the MG Windsor EV were sold in 2025. Let’s take a look at the range and features of the MG Windsor EV here.

EV Sales In India In 2025

As informed earlier, a total of 19,394 units of the MG Windsor were sold in 2025, and it secured the top-position to become the bestselling electric car in India. It is followed by the Tata Punch EV, which registered sales of a total of 17,966 units in 2025. The Tata Tiago EV secured the third-position in the sales chart with a total sales of 17,145 units, while the Tata Nexon EV, with a total sales of 13,978 units, and the MG Comet EV, with a total sales of 10,149 units, secured the fourth and fifth positions respectively.

MG Windsor: Range

The MG Windsor is available in a total of 6 main variants: Excite, Exclusive, Essence, Exclusive Pro, Essence Pro, and Inspire. The MG Windsor is available with two options on offer: a 37.9 kWh battery pack and a 52.9 kWh battery pack. While the trims with the smaller 37.9 kWh battery have a claimed range of 332 km, the trims with the bigger 52.9 kWh battery have a claimed range of up to 449 km, once charged completely.
