MS Dhoni And Citroen
Citroen is a France-based car manufacturing company, and last year, it made MS Dhoni its brand ambassador. The brand announced the launch of dark editions of its Basalt, C3, and C3 Aircross models in April 2025. The brand gifted the first Basalt Dark Edition to the former captain, also known as Captain Cool, and he was recently spotted driving it in his hometown, Ranchi. Citroen Basalt Dark: Price And Features
The Citroen Basalt Dark Edition is priced between Rs 12.80 lakhs (Ex-showroom) and Rs 14.10 lakhs (Ex-showroom). The Dark Edition costs Rs 23,000 more than the standard Citroen Basalt Model. The Dark Edition of the Basalt is finished in a gloss black colour, and the all-black theme is continued inside the cabin as well. The Basalt also gets features like a 10.1-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system, a 7-inch fully digital instrument cluster, ambient lighting, automatic climate control, steering-mounted controls, and a wireless charger.
Citroen Basalt Dark: Engine
While the Dark Edition of the Citroen Basalt gets a lot of cosmetic updates, when compared to the standard model, the mechanicals on this variant remain unchanged. The Citroen Basalt is powered by a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine, which is offered with a 6-speed manual or an automatic transmission option. The Engine can generate up to 108 hp and 205 Nm of torque.
