New GST Rates: Royal Enfield Himalayan, Interceptor, GT 650 To Become Costlier By Rs…

GST 2.0:  Royal Enfield makes some of the most attractive bikes in the country. The brand’s lineup comprises popular models such as Bullet 350, Classic 350, Hunter, Himalayan, and more. The Indian government recently announced GST 2.0 with a 10 percent reduction in the rates. The reduction in GST rates will result in bikes under 350cc being more affordable, but the bikes above 350cc are set to become more expensive from September 22, 2025.

Royal Enfield Bikes: Bigger Motorcycle, Bigger Taxes

While the Indian government has reduced GST rates for bikes and scooters under the 350cc segment, the tax has been increased for the two-wheelers with engines bigger than 350cc. The same decision that makes the brand’s 350cc lineup more affordable also makes its 450cc and 650cc bikes more costly. Two-wheelers with an engine capacity of more than 350cc will now be taxed at 40 percent GST.

Royal Enfield 450cc Lineup: New GST Rates

Royal Enfield currently offers a total of three models in the 450cc segment: the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, the Royal Enfield Guerilla 450, and the Royal Enfield Scram 450. While the price hike for the Scram 450 will range between Rs 15,131 and Rs 15,641, the Guerilla 450 will become more expensive by up to Rs 18,479. The prices of the Himalayan 450 will now see a hike of up to Rs 21,319.

Royal Enfield 650cc lineup: Prices After GST 2.0

The Royal Enfield also has a strong presence in the 650cc segment, and it offers a total of 6 models in the segment: the Interceptor 650, the Continental GT 650, the Bear 650, the Classic 650, the Shotgun 650, and the Super Meteor 650. The prices of these bikes will see a hike of up to Rs 29,468 post the implementation of the new GST rates. The detailed price hike is expected to be as follows:
