Nissan MPV 2025:  Nissan, the Japanese car manufacturer, has confirmed that it will be revealing an affordable 7-seater MPV in India on December 18, 2025. In an exclusive interaction with the Jagran Hitech team, Saurabh Vats, Nissan India’s Managing Director, has confirmed that the brand is planning on launching a 7-seater MPV, SUV, and a compact SUV (Nissan Tekton) in the country. Let’s take a look at what can be expected in terms of design, features, and powertrain from the upcoming Nissan MPV in India.

Nissan MPV 2025: Expected Design

As per a report by Autocar, the upcoming affordable MPV from Nissan might be named ‘Gravite’. The brand had filed a trademark for the name back in 2023. A prototype of the Nissan MPV was also spied in the country, and it looks very similar to the Renault Triber. While the MPV is expected to have an overall contour similar to the Triber, it will feature redesigned bumpers, a new grille, and a fresh set of alloy wheels to differentiate it from the latter. The headlight on the prototype had a similar shape to the Triber’s. However, Nissan’s MPV is expected to feature a different DRL signature. We also expect the bumper and taillights of the MPV to be tweaked to differentiate it from the Triber.

Nissan MPV 2025: Expected Feature

The interior of the upcoming Nissan MPV in India has not been spotted yet. However, we expect it to feature the same dashboard layout as the Renault Triber. Nissan is expected to equip the interior with a different colour scheme to set it apart from the Triber. In terms of features, we expect the upcoming Nissan MPV to feature a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, an 8-inch touchscreen-based infotainment system, rear AC vents, wireless phone charging, and more. We also expect the upcoming Nissan MPV in India to feature six airbags, hill-start assist, a tyre pressure monitoring system, front and rear parking sensors, and a rear-view camera.

Nissan MPV 2025: Expected Powertrain

Similar to its design elements and interior layout, the upcoming Nissan MPV is expected to come equipped with a 1.0-litre petrol engine similar to the Renault Triber. We expect the 1.0-litre petrol engine to be offered with options of either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed automatic transmission. The engine can generate a peak power and torque output of 76 hp and 95 Nm, respectively.
