Nissan Magnite CNG Retrofitment Kit Launched At Rs 74999; But Will Be Offered Only Here

Nissan Magnite CNG: Nissan Motor India’s popular SUV, the New Nissan Magnite, will now be offered with a government-approved CNG retrofitment kit. The CNG Kit is fully developed and manufactured by a third-party manufacturer named Motozen in accordance with regulatory standards. Motozen will also provide a warranty for Kit components. These kits will be fitted at government-authorised centres. The complete retrofitment will cost Rs 74,999 only.

The CNG kit fitment will be rolled out in a phased manner across India. In the first phase, customers can order the CNG kit installation by Nissan authorised dealerships in 7 states, including Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Kerala, and Karnataka. It will later be expanded to other states across the country as part of Phase 2. The CNG kit option is available only with the New Nissan Magnite 1.0-litre NA (naturally aspirated) petrol engine, paired with the manual gearbox. Customers can opt for enhanced fuel economy with the CNG retrofitted kit.

The Nissan Magnite is priced between Rs 6.14 lakhs (Ex-showroom) and Rs 9.27 lakhs (Ex-showroom) in India, and it is offered in a total of 18 variants in the country. The Magnite by Nissan draws its power from a 1.0-litre petrol engine, which can be had with either a 5-speed manual transmission, a CVT, or an AMT. It is also available with a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine and the same transmission options that can generate 99 bhp and 152 Nm of torque.
