No Fuel For Overage Vehicles: End-of-life vehicles are being phased out from the Delhi-NCR region. The Haryana government has announced a new plan to reduce the number of polluting vehicles on NCR (National Capital Region) roads. As part of the plan, the fuel stations in Gurugram, Faridabad, and Sonipat areas will not sell fuel to the overage vehicles, starting from November 1, 2025.
The state government stated in an official statement that overage vehicles will not be sold diesel or petrol in Gurugram, Faridabad, and Sonipat districts from November 1, 2025. The restriction on end-of-life vehicles will be extended to the remaining NCR districts from April 1, 2026. The government has asked fuel stations in these areas to make some changes to enforce the decision.

All fuel stations available in the Gurugram, Faridabad, and Sonipat regions have been asked to install Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras by October 31, 2025. Fuel stations across the NCR districts will be following the same step by March 31, 2026. The state government has stated in its official notification that these cameras, along with the traffic surveillance cameras and control centres, will play a significant role in identifying overage vehicles.
Vehicles with an invalid registration or an expired validity period, along with vehicles that have been certified unfit by automated fitness centres, are known as end-of-life vehicles. The Haryana government also took some significant steps to reduce the number of polluting vehicles entering the Delhi-NCR region by allowing only CNG or electric vehicles, effective from November 1, 2025.
