Omega Seiki Mobility Auto: Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM) has launched what it claims is the world's first production-ready autonomous electric three-wheeler, the Swayamgati. The company has also officially begun the EV's commercial rollout, with bookings currently underway. The electric three-wheeler is priced at Rs 4 lakh for the passenger version, while the cargo version will be available soon at Rs 4.15 lakh.

Omega Swayamgati: Where can it be Used?

The Swayamgati integrates Omega's electric vehicle platform with an AI-backed retrofit autonomy stack, featuring LiDAR, GPS, AI-based obstacle detection (up to 6 meters), multi-sensor navigation, and remote safety controls. This ensures seamless autonomous navigation on pre-mapped routes, tailoring it for short-distance use cases, such as in airports, industrial parks, smart campuses, gated communities, and dense urban environments.

Omega Swayamgati: Range

The Swayamgati uses a battery that Omega says delivers up to 120km range on a single charge. The battery capacity of the EV is not yet known.

'With Swayamgati, we are showing that India doesn't need to follow global trends—we can lead them. This vehicle proves that cutting-edge tech like AI, Lidar, and autonomous navigation can be made in India, for India, and at a price point that makes it truly accessible. We are building technology that serves people—not just headlines,' said Uday Narang, Founder & Chairman, Omega Seiki Mobility.

Omega Swayamgati: Why it is special?

The Swayamgati is purpose-built to function in high-density, low-speed traffic scenarios, and across diverse terrains, according to Omega. It has a compact design and features an intelligent navigation system, making it suitable for gated campuses, industrial parks, smart cities and so on. Being a pure electric vehicle, it administers zero tailpipe emissions while reducing operational and maintenance costs.

With Phase I testing already completed on a 3-kilometre autonomous route without human intervention, the Swayamgati has now entered Phase II, which involves commercial rollout in controlled environments.
