Royal Enfield Hunter 450 Spotted: Royal Enfield, a popular two-wheeler manufacturer is planning to expand its motorcycle lineup with several new models. One of these upcoming models is the Royal Enfield Hunter 450 which will be developed focussing on urban commuting rather than adventure touring. In November 2023, Royal Enfield launched Himalayan 450 for the Indian market which is focussed on more adventure seeking bike riders. However, recognizing that not everyone prefers adventure bikes for city use, Royal Enfield is developing the Hunter 450.
Royal Enfield Hunter 450 Spotted
The Royal Enfield Hunter 450 has been spotted and spy shots of the motorcycle have surfaced, and while there is no official launch date yet, it is anticipated to be available in the market by the end of 2024. The Hunter 450 is expected to be priced more affordably than the Himalayan 450.
Royal Enfield Hunter 450 - Hardware
From the spy shots, it is evident that the Royal Enfield Hunter 450 will have alloy wheels, allowing for tubeless tyres. The front of the motorcycle will feature telescopic forks instead of the up-side-down forks and long-travel suspension. However, the rear will be equipped with a monoshock. Braking is handled by a disc both in the front and at the rear. While a dual-channel anti-lock braking system will be available, it's currently unclear if it will be switchable. Additionally, a bash plate is included to protect the underbelly from rough speed breakers.
Royal Enfield Hunter 450 - Features and Design
The motorcycle boasts a roadster design, featuring a handlebar easily accessible to the rider and mid-set footpegs. The overall riding posture is comfortable for both daily commuting and highway rides. The headlamp, turn indicators and tail lamps are borrowed from the Himalayan 450, with the rear tail lamps integrated into the turn indicators. The instrument cluster is circular, but it's not confirmed whether it will be a new unit from the Himalayan 450 or an analog unit from the Shotgun 650.
Royal Enfield Hunter 450 - Engine Specs
In terms of engine specs, the Royal Enfield Hunter 450 will be equipped with the same engine as the Himalayan 450. Consequently, it will offer the same power and torque output figures as the Himalayan 450.
