Royal Enfield Unveils Shotgun 650 Globally Ahead Of Official Launch In 2024; Check Design And Engine Specs Here

Royal Enfield has revealed the Shotgun 650 for all global markets ahead of its official launch. Royal Enfield showcased a special edition of the Shotgun 650 for the first time at the Motoverse 2023. The Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 marks Royal Enfield's fourth addition to its 650 cc motorcycle range, following the Interceptor, Continental GT and Super Meteor. It is expected that the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 will be launched in 2024.

Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 - Design 

Talking about the exterior design of the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650, it will be offered in four distinct colour schemes - Stencil White, Plasma Blue, Green Drill and Sheetmetal Grey. Notable features on the Shotgun 650 include an LED headlamp, a digi-analogue instrument cluster, Tripper Navigation and a USB charging port. Additionally, Royal Enfield will also offer 31 motorcycle accessories for interested customers. 

Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 - Hardware 

In terms of hardware, the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 is equipped with 43 mm separate function big piston Showa forks at the front and twin tube 5-step shock absorbers at the rear for suspension duties. It will also get a 320 mm disc in the front and a 300 mm disc at the rear, complemented by dual-channel ABS for braking responsibilities. The Shotgun 650 will sit on 18-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels with factory-installed tubeless tyres.

Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 - Engine 

The Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 will be powered by a 648 cc parallel-twin, air-oil cooled engine that is capable of producing a power output of 47 bhp and 52 Nm of torque. This same engine is equipped in other 650 cc motorcycles that are offered by Royal Enfield. However, there is a possibility that RE will retune this engine for the Shotgun 650 considering its weight and other factors. Additionally, this mill is paired to a six-speed gearbox and a slip and assist clutch.
