Reason Behind The Recall

The recall has been initiated due to potential defects in the rear seatbelt assembly. Skoda informed that in case of a head-on collision, the latch plate of the rear-seatbelt could break. This may compromise webbing of the rear centre seatbelt which can lead to failure of rear right seatbelt and buckle. As this might pose a serious threat to the safety of rear seat passengers, thus all the units with the potential issue have been recalled.

These Models Will Be Recalled

The recall has been issued for a total of 25,772 units of Kushaq, Slavia and Kylaq manufactured between 1st May 2024 to 1st April 2025. According to the official information, customers do not need to pay any additional cost as Skoda will fix the issue by issuing the recall. Customers can check their eligibility at the official website of Skoda Auto India or can make an inquiry by visiting the nearest dealership/ showroom.
