Steelbird SXE Helmet: Steelbird Helmets announced the launch of its SXE Helmet today. It is India’s first motorcycle helmet to come equipped with Advanced Impact Protection Technology. The brand claims that the Helmet is designed to deliver enhanced safety, improved comfort, and modern styling. Prices for the Steelbird SXE helmet start at Rs 3599 in India.
Steelbird SXE Helmet: Enhanced Safety
The SXE features a tough, high-impact ABS shell reinforced with advanced fibre composites, and coupled with a Black EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) liner. It also gets a shock-absorbing TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer) layer. This advanced multi-layered liner system efficiently controls both linear and rotational forces during crashes, and offers superior protection and enhanced rider safety. The helmet is specially designed for enhanced impact management to ensure efficient energy distribution during high-speed collisions, significantly reducing peak head acceleration and minimizing the risk of traumatic brain injuries (TBI).

Steelbird SXE Helmet: Less Risk Of Brain Injury
The brand claims that the Helmet helps to reduce the rotational impact forces by approximately 20 per cent, which significantly lowers the risk of traumatic brain injuries (TBI). Steelbird helmets that meet DOT certification are reinforced with a fiberglass shell to comply with the stringent safety requirements of the DOT standard. SXE is certified under dual homologation, meeting both BIS IS 4151:2015 and the globally recognized DOT FMVSS 218 (Department of Transportation, USA) safety standards.
