Tata Altroz Racer Launch: Tata Motors is gearing up to launch the Tata Altroz Racer in the Indian market. The Altroz Racer has been previously showcased at the 2024 Bharat Mobility Global Expo and Auto Expo 2023. This new Altroz model will bring in a performance-oriented tweak to the popular hatchback, showcasing its sporty design and features. According to a report by Motorbeam, the Tata Altroz Racer is expected to launch in June 2024.

Tata Altroz Racer - Design
In terms of design, the Tata Altroz Racer will flaunt a sporty look with a new dual-tone paint job, black alloy wheels, updated bumpers and a larger roof-mounted spoiler. The concept model displayed at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo featured an eye-catching orange and black colour scheme with white racing stripes on the hood and roof.

Moving inside, the Tata Altroz Racer will receive sporty enhancements such as a black and orange dashboard, orange stitching on the steering wheel, upholstery and door pads. It will also get enhanced features such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with the latest UI, ventilated leatherette front seats, a 360-degree camera, voice-activated electric sunroof and standard 6 airbags for safety.
Tata Altroz Racer - Performance
Under the hood, the Altroz Racer will be powered by a more potent 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine borrowed from the Nexon. This engine delivers a power output of 120 bhp and 170 Nm of torque. Initially, it will come with a 6-speed manual transmission but Tata may introduce a 6-speed DCT transmission later on.

Tata Motors claims that the Altroz Racer will be India's safest and fastest hatchback, hinting at impressive acceleration capabilities. However, exact performance figures will be revealed once the car hits the roads. The Altroz Racer will go head-to-head with rivals like the Hyundai i20 N Line.
