Tata Cars Price Hike: Tata Motors has announced a price hike of up to 1.5 per cent across its entire passenger vehicle portfolio. The recently announced price hike will come into effect from July 1, 2026, and it will make the brand’s ICE and Electric cars more expensive. Notably, the brand has also announced that the exact amount of increase will vary depending on the model and variant.
Tata Cars Price Hike: Second Hike
Notably, this is the second price hike announced by the Indian car manufacturer. The brand had announced a price hike of up to 1 per cent on its entire ICE portfolio in India in April 2026. The price hike announced in April had not affected the brand’s electric car portfolio.

Tata Cars Price Hike: The Reason
In April, the brand had stated that it had decided to increase prices due to rising input costs, raw material costs, and logistics expenses. The brand has stated that due to increasing input costs and rising inflationary pressures, it has decided to increase prices of its ICE and EVs from July 2026. Notably, the brand has also mentioned that the decision has been taken to absorb a significant portion of the increased costs.
