Tata Nexon New AMT Variants: Tata Motors has introduced new variants to broaden the options for its Nexon compact SUV. The manufacturer has introduced five new AMT variants in the Nexon lineup. The range of Nexon petrol AMT models now commences from Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Smart+ variant, while the diesel AMT variants start at Rs 11.80 (ex-showroom) lakh for the Pure trim. Previously, the most affordable Nexon petrol AMT was priced at Rs 11.70 lakh (ex-showroom), while the entry-level diesel AMT variant began at Rs 13 lakh (ex-showroom). All these variants were based on the mid-spec Creative trim.

Tata Nexon New AMT Variants - Features 

The Nexon Smart+ is the entry level variant of the compact SUV. Talking about its features, the Nexon Smart+ is well-equipped, boasting LED DRLs, a 7-inch touchscreen compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, four speakers, electrically adjustable ORVMs, drive modes, 6 airbags, ESC, and ISOFIX child seat mounts. The Pure trim adds further enhancements such as full LED headlamps and tail lamps, roof rails, rear AC vents, touch-based HVAC controls, wheel covers, a knitted roof liner, a 4-inch digital instrument cluster, and voice commands. Meanwhile, the Pure S variant elevates the experience with a sunroof, auto headlamps and wipers, and an electrochromic IRVM over the Pure trim.

Tata Nexon New AMT Variants - Engine Specs 

In terms of performance, the Nexon AMT is powered by a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine that is capable of producing a power output of 120 bhp and 170 Nm of torque. This powerhouse can be paired to either a 6-speed AMT, 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox (featuring paddle shifters), depending on the variant. Talking about the 1.5-liter diesel engine, it produces a power output of 115 bhp and 260 Nm of torque.

Competing with other compact SUVs in the market, including the Mahindra XUV300, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Renault Kiger, and Nissan Magnite, the Tata Nexon remains a formidable contender in its segment.
