Tata Sierra 2025 Vs Old Sierra:  Tata is all set to launch the Sierra 2025 in India on November 25, 2025. The brand will be bringing back its popular nameplate after 22 years. Originally, the Sierra was launched in 1991, and later it was discontinued in 2003. The Tata Sierra is also widely popular as the OG SUV. Here we have compared the new Tata Sierra 2025 with the old Sierra, and we have listed the changes in terms of features and design.

Tata Sierra 2025 Vs Old Sierra: Design

The upcoming Tata Sierra 2025 takes many design inspirations from the old Sierra. The iconic curved-over rear windows were known as the identity of the old Sierra, but the same design couldn’t be retained due to safety concerns. However, the brand ingeniously used the black contrasting paint to provide the same effect. The new Sierra 2025 also features squarish wheel arches and a high-set bonnet. The chunky rectangular headlights of the OG Sierra have been replaced by sleek LED units in the new Sierra 2025. The rectangular black grille and thick B pillars have been retained from the OG Sierra. The new Sierra misses out on functional roof rails, but it is more aerodynamic, and it also gets bigger 19-inch alloy wheels now.

The OG Sierra came equipped with physical controls for HVAC, whereas the new Sierra 2025 features a touch-based HVAC panel with toggle switches. The new Sierra 2025 also features a panoramic sunroof, which the OG Sierra missed out on.

The OG Sierra was also available with a 4x4 configuration, which the new Sierra 2025 misses out on. The new Sierra 2025 will be available in multiple engine options, including petrol, diesel, and an electric powertrain. The Sierra 2025 will be powered by a new 1.5-litre TGDi turbo petrol engine, which is expected to generate a peak power and torque output of 168 hp and 280 Nm, respectively.
