Tesla Model Y Price In India: Tesla began its official Indian chapter with the opening of its first showroom in BKC, Mumbai. Now, the brand is all set to open its second showroom in the national capital. The brand also launched its first product, the Model Y, in the country with the opening of its first showroom. Tesla has also opened its first Supercharger Station in the country. But do you know how much time and cost it will take to charge the Tesla Model Y using the supercharger?
Tesla Model Y: Battery Capacity & Range
The Model Y is available in the country with two different models: a standard model with a Rear Wheel Drive powertrain and a long-range Rear Wheel Drive powertrain. Both of these variants are powered by a 62.5 kWh battery, and while the standard variant has a claimed range of up to 500 kilometers, the long-range variant has a claimed range of up to 622 kilometers once fully charged.

Tesla Supercharger And Model Y
The brand opened its first-ever supercharger facility in the country at BKC Mumbai yesterday. The supercharger facility here features 4 V4 fast chargers and 4 destination chargers. While the V4 chargers have a capacity of 250 kW, the destination chargers boast a capacity of 11 kW. Charging costs have been set at Rs 24 per kWh for the V4 chargers, whereas the destination charger will cost Rs 14 per kWh.

Tesla Model Y: Charging Time & Costs
As informed earlier, both variants of the Model Y in the country are powered by the same 62.5 kWh battery. Any Tesla owner using the V4 stall with the 250 kW capacity to charge their Model Y will be able to completely charge their vehicle in just 15 Minutes. Using the 11 kW destination charger, on the other hand, would take around 6 hours to completely charge the Tesla Model Y. Coming to the pricing of charging, the V4 stall will cost Rs 1500 (Rs 24/kWh x 62.5 kWh). The Destination charger will cost Rs 875 (Rs 14/kWh x 62.5 kWh) for a full charge.
