Tesla Model Y Deliveries Set To Begin Soon In India – Details Inside

Tesla Model Y Price in India:  US-based EV Giant Tesla launched its Model Y in July 2025, and ever since then, the brand has bagged 600 bookings for the model. This slow start can be attributed to the model's hefty price tag of Rs 59.89 lakh, a great deal more than the Rs 22 lakh price ranwhere most EV sales occur, according to JATO Dynamics. Deliveries for the Model Y crossover are set to begin soon, according to Tesla. While Tesla has yet to announce the official date for the commencement of deliveries, we expect them to take place next week. 

The Model Y will be initially rolled out in the following cities: Delhi, Gurugram, Mumbai, and Pune. Speaking, Tesla has so far inaugurated two showrooms in India, in Mumbai and Delhi, with the third one expected to come up soon in Sohna Road, Gurugram.

Tesla Model Y: Variants, Price

The Model Y is a fully imported crossover available in two variants: RWD and Long Range RWD, priced at Rs 59.89 lakh and Rs 67.89 lakh, respectively. Both prices are ex-showroom. The standard version delivers a WLTP-claimed range of 500km, while the Long Range version offers 622km (WLTP). The car can accelerate from a halt to 100km/h in 5.6 seconds, while the top speed is limited to 201km/h.

Tesla Model Y Performance: Will it Come to India?

In the international market, Tesla recently revealed a more powerful version of the Model Y, called the Performance. The Performance uses dual motors offering 454bhp. The top speed is pegged at 250km/h. While the model will initially be rolled out in Europe, there is no word on Tesla bringing this version to our market.
