Tesla Owners In India:  Tesla today began its official journey in India with the launch of its first showroom in BKC, Mumbai. The world’s second-largest car manufacturer also launched its Model Y SUV in the country with a starting price of Rs 59.89 lakhs (Ex-showroom). But do you know several Indians already own Tesla cars in the country? So, here we are sharing the list of people who own a Tesla in India.

Prashant Ruia

As per media reports, Prashant Ruia, director of Essar Group, was the first person to own a Tesla car in India. Prashant owns a Tesla Model X SUV, and it has a Plaid variant, which is known as the fastest electric SUV in the world. The Tesla Model X can cover up to 540 kilometers once fully charged.

Mukesh Ambani

Mukesh Ambani, the richest asian man, has one of the most astonishing car collections, comprising more than 160 cars, in the country. He also owns a Tesla Model S, along with many Rolls-Royces, Mercedes, and other luxury cars. Ambani imported the Tesla Model S in the year 2019. The Tesla Model S generates more than 400 horsepower and 660 Nm of torque, and it can sprint from 0-100 Km/hr in just 4.3 seconds.

Riteish Deshmukh

Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh is the only celebrity from the industry who currently owns a Tesla car in India. Riteish owns a Tesla Model X, which was gifted to him by his wife. The Model X by Tesla is a seven-seater electric SUV, and it can sprint from 0-100 in just 3.2 seconds. Riteish owns a Model X in red color, and it also has Falcon Wing doors.

Pooja Batra

Actress and former Miss India Pacific, Pooja Batra, owns a Tesla Model 3 in the USA, where she spends most of her time. She shared a picture of her Model 3 a few years back. Despite being Tesla's entry-level model, the Model 3 is also available with a luxury price tag. Interestingly, this model was anticipated to be Tesla's first model in India. There were sightings of the Model 3 being tested in India following Tesla's announcement of entering the Indian market.
