Triumph Trident 800 Spied:  Images of an undisguised prototype of the latest large-displacement model from Triumph – the Trident 800 – have surfaced. Spotted testing abroad, the Triumph Trident 800 appears to carry over the similar design language from the smaller Trident 660, with a circular headlamp, a split-type seat setup, a small visor, and an integrated LED taillamp.

Triumph Trident 800: Engine, Output

However, the test mule features a side-slung exhaust muffler similar to the Tiger Sport 800. It is expected that the Trident 800 will use the familiar 798cc three-cylinder engine, which develops 113.4bhp and 84Nm of torque in the Tiger Sport 800. Similar power and torque figures are likely on the Trident 800 as well.

Triumph Trident 800: Rider Aids

Also, expect the Trident 800 to sport similar electronic rider aids, such as traction control, cruise control, a bi-directional quickshifter, dual-channel ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System), a six-axis IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit), and three ride modes (Road, Rain, Sport).

Triumph Trident 800: Hardware

Hardware-wise, a sporty chassis, new suspension setup, and Tiger Sport 800-like radially-mounted front brake callipers are on the cards. The brake callipers, however, are likely to be tweaked to suit the Trident's character.

Triumph Trident 800: Will it Come to India?

The Triumph Trident 800 will be a road-focused, neo-retro roadster middleweight motorcycle. Triumph could use EICMA 2025, less than two months away, to unveil the Trident 800. In the international market, the Trident 800 will be positioned between the Street Triple 765 and the Trident 660.

While the Trident 800 looks close to production-ready for its global debut, there is no official confirmation on the middleweight roadster's arrival on the Indian market. Besides, the Triumph India line-up currently doesn't include the Tiger Sport 800.
