Renault Boreal:  Renault is expected to launch a 7-seater iteration of its popular Duster SUV in India. The seven-seater Duster will likely be called Renault Boreal, and it was spotted testing on the Indian roads recently. The brand teased the Boreal in April 2025, and it will be unveiled globally on July 10. Here we are sharing design details revealed by the testing mule of the Renault Boreal.

Renault Boreal: Design

The testing mule of the Renault Boreal was heavily disguised, and it revealed only a few design details. The Front fascia of the SUV is expected to feature a chunky bumper, along with an LED DRL setup. Thick cladding is present all around the car, and while the front doors have pull-type handles, the rear doors have handles mounted on the B-pillars of the car. The thick roof rails of the SUV, along with a spoiler with raised ends, were also spotted on the testing mule.

Renault Boreal: Expected Powertrain

Renault Boreal will be launched after the Duster SUV in India, and it is expected to feature the same engine as the latter. The Boreal is expected to be powered by a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine mated to a strong hybrid system. The engine on the Boreal SUV will be paired with a manual as well as an automatic transmission system. The company is expected to launch the Renault Boreal in India by mid of the year 2026, after the launch of the Duster SUV.
