Electric Vehicle Sales December 2025: VinFast, the Vietnamese electric car manufacturer, is registering a strong demand for its vehicles in India. The brand outsold the well-established electric car manufacturers such as Hyundai and Kia to secure 4th place in the Indian electric vehicle market in December 2025. Let’s take a look at the VinFast sales performance in December 2025 and the electric cars offered by the brand in the country.
VinFast India Sales: December 2025
VinFast offers a total of 2 cars in India currently: the VinFast VF6 and the VinFast VF 7. In December 2025, VinFast sold a total of 375 units of its VF6 and VF7 electric SUVs. Kia sold a total of 313 units of electric cars, whereas Hyundai sold a total of 262 units of electric cars in December 2025, in India. VinFast has become the fourth-largest EV car brand in India, after leaving behind Hyundai and Kia. However, Tata is still leading the charts with JSW in second and Mahindra in third position.

VinFast VF6 And VF7 Prices
The VinFast VF 6 is available in a total of three variants: Earth, Wind, and Wind Infinity, with prices ranging from Rs 16.49 lakh to Rs 18.29 lakh. The larger VF 7 is available in five variants – Earth, Wind, Wind Infinity, Sky, and Sky Infinity. The top-end Sky Infinity is priced at Rs 25.49 lakh. All prices are introductory, ex-showroom.

VinFast VF6 And VF7 Range
The VF 6 gets a 59.6kWh battery, which is paired with a front axle-mounted motor that generates 201bhp. The WLTP range is capped at 480km, while the ARAI figure is capped at 468km, once fully charged. The VF 7, on the other hand, is available in two battery configurations: 59.6kWh and 70.8kWh LFP. It supports both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive 345bhp systems. The VF 7 FWD has a WLTP claimed range of 450km, while the AWD yields 431km. Whereas the ARAI-certified range of the VF 7 stands at 532km, once fully charged.
