Volkswagen Tayron R-Line India:  The India-spec model of the Volkswagen Tayron R-Line 7-seater SUV was revealed recently, ahead of its official launch. The Tayon R Line will be imported as a Completely Knocked Down (CKD) unit in the country, and it will sit above the Tiguan R-Line SUV in the brand’s lineup. Let’s take a look at the design, features, and engine specs of the soon-to-be-launched Volkswagen Tayron R-Line.

Volkswagen Tayron R-Line: Design

The Volkswagen Tayron R-Line has a very sporty silhouette. On the front, it gets dual-LED projector headlamps, an LED bar that runs throughout the width of the bonnet with the Volkswagen logo in the centre, and large air intakes incorporated into the sporty bumper. On the sides, it gets thin black body-cladding and 19-inch alloy wheels, which further enhance the sportiness of the SUV. On the rear, it gets a large black garnish on the bumper with integrated reflectors, connected LED taillights with a lit Volkswagen logo in the centre, and a subtle roof-spoiler with integrated stop lamp.

Volkswagen Tayron R Line India: Features

The Volkswagen Tayron R-Line comes equipped with a 15-inch touchscreen-based infotainment system, along with a 10.25 inch fully digital driver’s display. It also features 12-way electrically-powered front seats with a massage and ventilation functions. The Tayron R-Line also gets a 30-colour ambient lighting, matrix LED lamps, panoramic sunroof, powered tailgate, Augmented Reality (AR)-based Heads Up Display (HUD), a three-zone climate control system, and more.

Volkswagen Tayron R-Line: Engine Specs

As anticipated, the Volkswagen Tayron R-Line features the same 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine as the Tiguan R-Line. The engine can be mated with a 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT), and it can churn out a peak power and torque output of 204hp and 320 Nm, respectively. The seven-seater SUV can sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 7.3 seconds, and it has an electronically limited top speed of 224 kilometres per hour.
