Yamaha XSR 155 Deliveries: Yamaha has begun delivering its new XSR 155 neo-retro roadster, about two days after the bike's launch in India, and a few videos for the same have emerged, creating a buzz on the internet.The XSR 155 is Yamaha's third 155cc engine bike, and is priced at Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The roadster uses the same engine as the R15 Version 4 supersport and the MT-15 naked streetfighter, but slots below the MT-15 in terms of market positioning.

Yamaha XSR 155: Engine

Power comes from a 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with VVA tech (Variable Valve Actuation). The engine is tuned to develop the same power and torque figures, 18bhp at 10,000rpm and 14.2Nm at 7,500rpm. It comes with a 6-speed gearbox, accompanied by an assist-and-slipper clutch. 

Yamaha XSR 155: Design, Features

While it shares its underpinnings with the R15 Version 4 and the MT-15, the XSR 155 stands out with a round LED headlamp, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank (with Yamaha lettering), and a single-piece seat. It also gets all-LED lighting and a conventional LCD instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity. Safety-wise, the bike features dual-channel ABS and a traction control system. The slipper clutch is standard.

Yamaha XSR 155: Chassis 

As part of hardware components, the XSR 155 offers a Deltabox frame, aluminium swingarm, upside-down front forks, a linked-type rear monoshock, and disc brakes mounted on 17-inch wheels. The wheels come wrapped in tubeless tyres. The vehicle is available in four colourways (Metallic Grey, Vivid Red, Greyish Green Metallic and Metallic Blue) and two accessory packs (Scrambler and Cafe Racer).
