Bihar Election 2025: With just a few weeks remaining in the Bihar Assembly election, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has reportedly finalised the seat-sharing talks, and a major announcement is expected on Saturday. Bihar BJP chief Dilip Jaiswal on Friday stated that all the allies have agreed to the distribution, further claiming that some of the major opposition leaders will join the NDA in the upcoming days. The seat sharing has been a puzzle for the ruling alliance, with high demands from Chirag Paswan's Lok Jana Shakti Party and Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM), led by former Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi.

Several top state leaders of the saffron party, including Jaiswal and Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, arrived in New Delhi on Friday ahead of the party's core committee meeting on Saturday. While dismissing speculations of a rift among the allies, Jaiswal affirmed that the NDA is united and ready to form a government with a strong majority in the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. He further emphasised that the NDA is again set to form a government with a huge majority.

"All discussions regarding the NDA alliance have been completed. Only the formal announcement remains. We believe it will be announced by tomorrow evening. The central leadership will be the one to make the announcement," Jaiswal was quoted as saying by ANI.

"Many people speculate. But when the NDA workers' conference was underway in the 243 assembly constituencies, I said that the NDA was moving forward with rock-solid unity and would form the government with a huge majority in the upcoming elections. Those who used to have such discussions have now calmed down," he added.

The polls in Bihar are set to be conducted in two phases on November 6 and 11, while the results will be announced on November 14. While the NDA is trying to repeat its government, the Mahagathbandhan, led by RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, will contest to form a government after a decade.
