Bihar Vishan Sabha Election: Tej Pratap Challenges Family On Multiple Seats

Tej Pratap Yadav’s newly formed party is directly challenging the RJD on multiple seats. In Mahua, he is contesting against the incumbent RJD MLA Mukesh Kumar Raushan. The rivalry intensifies in Raghopur, a seat once held by his parents, Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi, where his party has nominated Prem Kumar to take on his younger brother, Tejashwi Yadav.

When questioned why he was campaigning against his brother in Raghopur, a RJD bastion, Tej Pratap answered,  "Tejashwi should not have gone to Mahua. He went once, I have come twice." Tej Pratap made two trips to Raghopur amid the high-voltage campaign.

Tej Pratap, who often invokes mythological characters in his statements, exclaimed a shloka from the Mahabharata after landing in Raghopur.  "We have to establish Dharma. It has passed into the wrong hands. So Lord Krishna has reincarnated in Raghopur."
