Bihar Elections: Bhojpuri actor and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Manoj Tiwari on Saturday alleged that his convoy was attacked by individuals reportedly linked to the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) during an election roadshow in Bihar’s Dumraon. The incident, he claimed, took place while he was campaigning for National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidate Rahul Singh.
In a post shared on X, the North East Delhi MP said the attack occurred at Dumraon Ariyanv Brahm Baba Sthan when a group of people chanting RJD slogans attempted to disrupt his roadshow. Tiwari stated that he had to leave the venue quickly to avoid confrontation.
“Just a short while ago, when people were welcoming my roadshow with candidate Rahul Singh at Dumraon Ariyanv Brahm Baba Sthan, some people chanting RJD slogans tried to attack us. To avoid confrontation, we sped away. Why such hooliganism by RJD during the campaign?” he wrote on X, condemning what he described as “RJD’s hooliganism” during the Bihar assembly election campaign.

Earlier in the day, Tiwari shared pictures of the event, thanking the people of Dumraon for their support. “Today, I participated in a grand roadshow held in Dumraon in support of NDA candidate Rahul Singh. The overwhelming enthusiasm and affection of the people prove that Bihar once again stands with the NDA for development and good governance,” he wrote.

जनता का अपार उत्साह और स्नेह इस बात का प्रमाण है कि बिहार एक बार फिर विकास और सुशासन के लिए जनता NDA के साथ है।#BiharElections2025 #NDA #BiharWithNDA pic.twitter.com/4pKTZZufoI
Meanwhile, another BJP MP and Bhojpuri actor, Ravi Kishan, also came under the spotlight after claiming that he had received death threats and abusive calls.
According to officials, Kishan lodged a police complaint on Friday at the Ramgarh Taal police station in Gorakhpur. The FIR was registered after the MP alleged that a man from Ara district in Bihar had threatened him over the phone, allegedly in reaction to his remarks about the Yadav community made during a recent campaign event in Bihar.
In a statement on social media, Kishan said he was determined not to be intimidated by such threats. He condemned the caller’s remarks, saying they insulted both his family and religious faith.
