There's great news for train passengers in Muzaffarpur, as the city has received the gift of a second Vande Bharat Express train. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off this new train on the upcoming September 15 from an event in Purnia. This train will run between Jogbani and Danapur via Muzaffarpur, which will further improve connectivity in the region.

On its first day, the train will run as the 02631 Forbesganj-Danapur Inaugural Special. It will depart from Forbesganj at 3:30 pm and will pass through Araria, Purnia, Saharsa and Samastipur before reaching Muzaffarpur Junction at 9:05 pm. After a five-minute stop, it will leave for Danapur at 9:10 pm. This means Muzaffarpur will now be served by two Vande Bharat trains; the first one already runs between Patliputra and Gorakhpur.
