Bihar Teacher Video: A government school teacher in Bihar's Begusarai was reportedly kidnapped and forcibly married to a woman in a custom called 'Pakadwa Vivah.' This is not the first case in the state, as there have been multiple locally reported and also unreported cases in the past. According to a report by India Today, Avnish Kumar, the groom, alleged that he was kidnapped by a group of men and forcibly married. Meanwhile, Gunjan, the bridge, has said that both of them were in a relationship for four years. The family of Gunjan intervened after Avnish refused to marry her.

Avnish, a government teacher who recently got a job after clearing the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) exam, alleged that a group of men in two SUVs intercepted him while he was going to work. He was then taken to a temple and forced to perform marriage rituals, including applying vermillion to a woman's forehead.

The entire incident was captured by someone, and the video soon went viral on social media, showing Avnish being compelled to complete the rituals of the marriage despite his resistance.

According to the report, Avnish has alleged that he was physically assaulted during the ordeal and that he firmly stated that he did not accept the marriage. However, Gunjan has claimed that both of them were in a romantic relationship for four years. She also alleged that Avnish had invited her to Katihar, where he was initially working as a teacher, and the couple allegedly met there. She also added that Avnish's refusal prompted the family to intervene and arrange the marriage.

Meanwhile, Avnish has reportedly denied any romantic involvement with Gunjan and stated that their interaction was limited to his time as a private tutor at the residence of the sister of Gunjan.
