In a major step to promote self-reliance and employment among youth, the Bihar government, in collaboration with the Tool Room and Training Centre (TRTC), Patna, an institute under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India, will launch a free residential skill development training programme starting October 6.
The three-month programme, organised by the Department of Industries, Government of Bihar, will offer eight hours of daily classes. Accommodation and meals for all selected candidates will be provided by the institute.

The training will cover the following employment-oriented courses:
1. Certificate Course in CNC Lathe
2. Certificate Course in CNC Milling
3. Certificate Course in Tool and Die Making
4. AC and Fridge Repairing Course
Eligibility:
-For courses 1-3: 12th pass, ITI, or Diploma holders
-For course 4: 12th pass or ITI (Electrician trade)
-Age limit: 18 to 40 years

Selected candidates will pay a caution deposit of Rs 1,000, refundable upon completion of the programme. The curriculum emphasises modern technology and practical training to enhance employability.
The Bihar government has urged the youth to take advantage of this opportunity to acquire technical skills and boost their career prospects.
