Today, at 11:30 am, Janata Dal (United) supremo Nitish Kumar is scheduled to take the oath as Chief Minister for a record 10th time. As the swearing-in ceremony at Gandhi Maidan approaches, the composition of the new Council of Ministers has begun to take clear shape.

Cabinet Composition And Strategy

A notable development in the government formation is the late-night communication process initiated on Wednesday. Prospective ministers were contacted via phone, revealing a strategic blend of experienced leaders and fresh faces from both the BJP and the JDU. This "mixed cabinet" approach aims to balance political stability with youthful energy.

Speaker of the Assembly: In a major development, senior BJP leader Prem Kumar is set to be appointed as the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly. This decision reportedly stems from his extensive experience, strong organisational grip, and reputation for effective House management.

Deputy Chief Ministers: Following the legislature party meeting on Wednesday—where Nitish Kumar was unanimously elected as the leader—it was formally finalised that BJP leaders Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha will serve as Deputy Chief Ministers.

Ministerial Probables: BJP Quota According to reports, 14 MLAs from the BJP have received calls regarding ministerial positions. The list includes a mix of senior stalwarts and younger leaders:

Ministerial Probables: JDU Quota From the Janata Dal (United), five MLAs have reportedly received calls to join the cabinet:

Notably, Vijay Choudhary and Ashok Choudhary are regarded as Nitish Kumar's most trusted aides, valued for their administrative experience and governance skills.
