Bihar NEET Aspirant Death Case: A massive political row erupted in Bihar after a National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) aspirant from Jehanabad died in Patna on January 11. The family members of the deceased have alleged sexual assault and have accused the authorities of attempting a cover-up. The state government has formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the matter; however, the opposition leaders have slammed the government for an alleged poor law and order. Bihar home minister Samrat Choudhary has assured that a detailed probe has been launched, adding that the responsible will not be spared.

While talking to the reporters, Choudhary stated that the investigation is being monitored by the DGP. "Police have already constituted a special investigation team to probe the incident. The DGP himself is monitoring the investigation. Those involved in her death will not be spared," the home minister asserted.
